What I want is irrelevant. What matters is that my sister is safe and happy. And if that means staying topside with her powers suppressed so she can keep dancing, I’ll damn well do whatever it takes so she can have that.

       As for Cassie —- that wasn’t John’s fault. He pulled the trigger on the Founder, not Cassie. From what I understand, it was the Founder who TK’d the bullet off its course, so if anyone deserves the blame, it's that  bastard. I’m just sorry John didn’t manage to get a second shot at him.

       It’s terrible Cassie’s gone, though. She didn’t deserve any of the torture her father inflicted upon her.

       Hard to say what comes next. We damn well know Jedikiah can’t be trusted —- but, really, we should have known that all along. The real question is how much can we trust the Founder.
